Our driver was in a terrible mood both ways on our trip. On the way to our destination it was over 80 degrees on the bus and she told me that it was fine and dont worry about it. It was 80 at the thermostat, which means in the back. of the bus it was much warmer. I reached out and asked the owner about fixing the AC before they returned to take us home and they ignored me. When I got of the bus she confirmed a pic up time for me in 5 days.

when she showed up 30 mins late to our pickup time she said it was because "I wasn't listening to you when you told me on Monday because you were so rude about the air conditioning".

price was right, but bus was old, ac barely worked at all, grumpy driver, with no help from the company

When coordinating an extensive trip, it is feasible to plan ahead and be considerate of passengers' needs during a long bus ride. As a former manager, I would contact each participant via email and ask them if they had any food allergies, or, if there were items they could not consume. I do not believe that travelers should be restricted to one thing. I would also ask my groups to choose from a menu ahead of time; at least one month in advance, and the restaurant would be prepared when my constituents arrived. When the entire group exceeds the age of 55, every possible contingency and worst case scenario must be considered. If not, the traveler, such as myself, can arrive home at the conclusion of the trip with exacerbated health traumas, and additional trips to the physician's office. Many people treat elderly individuals as dumbed down children. This is a common fallacy that occurs when people reach a certain age, and not everyone has a diminished IQ. The vast majority of this politically correct society has accepted the cliche to "suck it up and accept it." This approach is used by abusive people and people who wish to control others so that they will keep their mouths shut and accept mistreatment or second hand service. Everyone, I am sure, if questioned, has some type of ailment, and not everyone will share the full extent of the seriousness said ailments to others. An individual may appear to be perfectly healthy, but could be very ill, and wants to travel despite the illness. The company should be sensitive to people with conditions that mandate medication must be taken at a certain time of the day with meals. When traveling on the road, the lunch preparation should be facilitated before the onset of the trip. The vast majority of eateries and restaurants will not accommodate 34 people without prior arrangement facilitation. As a previous manager, I conducted research on restaurants that would accommodate large groups of constituents. I also communicated with the constituents via email. This is the first company I have ever dealt with that does not communicate via email. It is unfair to subject people with dire health conditions to foods that will exacerbate the said condition and require additional trips to the physician's office. Also, everyone is an adult. If certain adults have been mandated by physicians to rest as much as possible during an extensive trip, they should have that option, especially since we are paying for it. People with heart disease tire very easily and will fall asleep at the drop of a hat. My physician granted me the permission to travel; provided that I would be able to rest during the ride, and enjoy the scenic views. Excessive nonsense, psychological shaming tactics, and socialistic sleep deprivation tactics are cruel to a person who is traveling and not feeling well. If I want to exclude myself from interacting with others in non-nonsensical fashion, or, if I want to sleep, keep silent, and look out of the window at the beautiful scenery, I should have that option. Psychological shaming is a tactic that does not work with me, especially since I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and am aware of all of these tactics. An individual should return from vacation feeling refreshed, not feeling so emotionally drained and fatigued that the doctor mandates the individual stay at home for another week to recover from all of the psychological shaming tactics. Additionally, if we are expected to pay the driver, we should be apprised of this beforehand, if it is not included in the original fee.

Company Response:

Cavalier has never provided meals for our customers, Travel agents do all of the planning.

Bus never showed

This trip was for a surprise 40th birthday party. I faxed in the contract, received the confirmation, then the bus never showed. When called, they said they never received the fax. Moral of story...with this company, make sure you confirm your reservation SEVERAL times before your scheduled trip. I now have 45 people waiting for another bus..hope we get there! The person on the phone was less than helpful and needs to brush up on his customer service skills.

Company Response:

Cavalier requires payment up front before trip. No monies were received and therefore no trip was taken.

I felt very comfortable and safe with their clean and professional drivers. I often organize trips for senior citizens who need extra assistance boarding. They are always courteous and helpful when I need scheduling advice. I will continue to use Cavalier for my local and long distance travel.
